Acclaimed for his exceptional artistry and technical mastery, pianist Philipp Lynov has achieved international recognition by winning First Prize at the 2024 Xiamen International Piano Competition in China, Second Prize at the 2025 Singapore International Piano Competition and the First Prize at the 2023 Takamatsu International Piano Competition in Japan. He also became a finalist in some of the world’s most prestigious piano competitions, such as the 2025 Cliburn International Piano Competition and the 2026 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition. Philipp is also a winner of the XI Paderewski International Piano Competition 2019 in Bydgoszcz, Poland, where he was honored with multiple special awards, including the Prize for the Best Interpretation of a Commissioned Piece by Michał Dobrzyński. Following his performance of Prokofiev's Second Piano Concerto, a competition reviewer remarked, "Lynov played with a profound inner imperative and a strong sense of dramaturgy; he was like a sculptor transforming a block of precious marble into a poignant form before your eyes." Philipp Lynov has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist in various cities across Russia, Germany, Austria, Poland, Spain, Italy, Israel, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, USA, Australia, China, Singapore and Japan. He made a successful debut at the Main Auditorium of the Berlin Philharmonic in May 2023, performing Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto with the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin under the baton of Stanley Dodds. That same year, he was also chosen as one of the finalists for the Classeek Ambassador Programme. As a soloist, he has performed with numerous orchestras, including Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (USA), Seto Philharmonic Orchestra (Japan), Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra (China), Metropolitan Festival Orchestra (Singapore), Sinfonie Orchester Berlin (Germany), Pomeranian Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland), Chamber Orchestra "Capella Bydgostiensis" (Poland), Region of Murcia Symphony Orchestra (Spain), Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi (Italy), State Academic Symphony Orchestra “Evgeny Svetlanov” (Russia), Moscow State Symphony Orchestra (Russia) and others. He has worked with prominent conductors such as Marin Alsop, Carlos Miguel Prieto, Naoto Otomo, Takuo Yuasa, Jingzhan Li, Stanley Dodds, Kai Bumann, Jakub Chrenowicz, Benjamin Yusupov and many others. Throughout the years, Philipp has received guidance through master classes from extraordinary artists such as Andreas Staier, Piotr Anderszewski, François-Frederic Guy, Dmitry Alexeev, Alexander Melnikov, Dina Yoffe, Akiko Ebi, Imogen Cooper, Ronan O’Hora, Mikhail Voskresensky, Anna Malikova and others. Philipp is a scholarship recipient at the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein, where he participates in the Intensive Music Weeks and other activities offered by the Academy. For the period 2023-2024, he was also awarded the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship, which provides financial support to talented students in Germany. Born in Russia in 1999, Philipp began his studies at the age of six with his first teacher, Anna Zakharova. Quickly becoming immersed in his musical studies, he auditioned for and was accepted into the Central Music School at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory at age 14, where he studied under Natalia Bogdanova. After four years of study at the Central Music School, from which he graduated with honors, Philipp enrolled at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory in the class of the renowned musician Prof. Eliso Virsaladze. In October 2022, Philipp also continued his studies with Prof. Claudio Martinez Mehner and Nina Tichman at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, Germany, where he is currently pursuing a Konzertexamen degree.
